The Arunachal Pradesh state dental council has constituted as per section 21 of the Dentist Act. 1948 & was notify on 5th July 2017 and published in Arunachal Pradesh gazette (EXTRA ORDINARY) vide notification No. 242 , vol. xxiv Naharlagan Friday, 7th July 2017 and the government of Arunachal Pradesh makes the Arunachal Pradesh state Dental council rule in exercise of power conferred upon section 55 of the Dentist Act & was notified on 13 September 2016 & published in the Arunachal Pradesh Gazette (EXTRA ORDINARY) vide notification No 338 vol. xxiv Naharlagan, Thursday’ 29th September 2016.

Arunachal Pradesh State Dental Council being statutory body is intended to serve the following purposes:

Arunachal Pradesh state dental council has authorized to do the registration of Dental surgeon, Dental hygienist and Dental technician as per schedule of DCI.

State dental council will maintain the state list of Dental surgeon; dental hygienist & dental mechanics (govt. / private) practitioner who are entitle to practice modern dentistry.

State dental council will also act as data base for practicing doctor within the State of Arunachal Pradesh.

State dental council will strive to regulate and monitor the quality of practice of modern dentistry but it will also protect the rights of the practicing doctors e.g. from frivolous litigation.

State dental council will also stand as the custodian and source of guidance for issue of professional conduct and ethics of registered practitioner.

Therefore it will be mandatory to mention the registration number on the body of any certificate or documents he/ she signs by practicing doctor in the state of Arunachal Pradesh without which such document will have no legal validity.
